Who Are Let's Go! Dog Training?

About Us

People often consider their pets to be an important member of the family, Let’s Go! Dog Training couldn’t agree more. That’s why we teach you how to train your pet using modern, motivational, force-free and reward-based training.

Here at ‘Let’s Go Dog Training’ we offer different types of training for puppies and dogs of any age. We advise you which option will help you and your pet get the most out of training. Sometimes a mixture of both classes and one to one training will get you the results you want.

You won’t find us using force, punishment or promoting ‘pack theory’ (where people believe dominating their pet can make it behave better). In short, we never train your puppy or dog to fear you in order to get results. We train YOU to understand your pet better, to communicate more effectively (despite the language barrier) and to become a team with your pet, creating a more harmonious, happy home.

Our classes are currently held at the Shipton Community Hall, just a few miles outside York City Centre, on the A19. We get booked up quickly, but have new courses starting regularly, get in touch to see how we can help you and your pet.

Alex started ‘Let’s Go Dog Training’ back in 2010, but she has been training people and their pets since 1995. From teaching one of the first dog related courses in the country at Bishop Burton College, to training her dogs as they appeared on the television show ‘Diamond Geezer’ featuring David Jason.

Fully qualified to train adult learners, holding a Cert Ed and HNC in Animal Management and maintaining a passion for education, Alex always keeps herself up to date with the latest teaching methods and understands that everyone learns in different ways.

Alex and her dogs have danced for the queen, appeared in a photo shoot with Sarah Harding for ‘Hello Magazine’, performed at Crufts at several levels and attended courses, seminars, workshops and dog shows across the globe.
